Courmayeur stands amongst the most fascinating summer destinations in the Alps, together with the Mont Blanc resorts. If you are tired of skiing on the Courmayeur slopes, at your disposal are the resorts of Cervinia and La Thuile (Italy), Chamonix (France) and Verbier (Switzerland) – easily reachable for a full day of skiing.

Summer activities
Plenty of sun and cheerful setting are expecting you in summer. Be sure that you will find a great variety of mountain activities to fit everyone’s abilities and taste. For climbers there are scenic rocky itineraries while mountaineers can choose among the majority of hiking routes. Talking about water sports, the river Dora Baltea goes through the Mont Blanc valley and offers challenging rafting descents, base for kayaking as well as fishing or swimming. A local attraction is the 100-person cable car (the first in Europe) which can take you up to the outdoor swimming pool on Plan Checrouit, where you can also take a cup of coffee or tea at the nearby restaurants.
