Costa di Folgaria introduction
General Information
Costa di Folgaria is a beautiful and striking ski resort located in the North of Roveretto and is just 20kms from the exit at the Brenner motorway. The resort is situated in the hub of the Trentino Dolomites which have been declared a part of UNESCO's World Heritage. Three out of the known seven Austro-Hungarian forts situated on the Altipiani terrain are hooked up by the track of Skitour dei Forti, which places this resort at a distinction with others. The resort provides not only picturesque panorama but also gives an insight as to its rich historic background. Roveretto and Trento are the prehistoric towns which still provide evidence as to their prosperous past.
Winter Activities
Winter not only brings snow to Costa di Folgaria but also brings along flocks of tourists most of them being ice skaters, skiers and snowboarders who turn up to discover the ski terrains. There are over 33 pistes spread over 72kms area for skiing which are retained well through the forest ranges and the valleys that are sided with heavy mortar. The resort provides ample of skiing opportunities for starters, intermediates and for expert skiers. These are over 22 lifts that take the skiers to about 2625 feet of vertical skiing descent. Cross-country trails are available at Fort Cherle and Pass Coe.
Summer Activities
Costa di Folgaria being located on the Altipiani terrain provides numerous options for hiking with a lots of routes to help tourists reach the near-by destinations like Luserna and Lavarone. Some of the favorite activities of the tourists are fishing, golfing, swimming, cycling, and mountain biking. River of Alto Adige offers great landscape for rafting. Also the terrains offer for paragliding, wind surfing along with some stunning views of the resort. The walking routes are great and most of the tourists enjoy walking around to have a hot sip of tea in the refuges which are scattered all along the routes.

Apart from all the exiting activities, Costa di Folgaria has much more to offer. The cuisine which is scrumptious and full of flavors can be anything from the “polenta” to other pork offerings.
