Rocca Pietore, Italy guide

Rocca Pietore introduction

Rocca Pietore is a central point around the small villages in the Pettorina river valley surrounded by the steep slopes of the Dolomiti mountain range. It was founded in 1000 AD and has developed as a tourist centre. It has access to the peaks of Marmolade, a challenge for both intermediate and advanced skiers, and also to the Serrai di Sottgude Glacier Canyon. Ski lifts connect the place with the Dolomiti Superski area and the Sella Massif. There are additional 15 km of cross-country ski trails that the village offers.
