General Information
Rasun di Sopra is one frazioni (village) in the municipality of Rasen-Antholz (name in German) or Rasun-Anterselva (name in Italy) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol. It is located in the Anterselva Valley which is characterized by green forests against the background of the silky smooth South Tyrolean Alps. Because of its location, tourists spend their summer and winter holidays here to enjoy its green fields and forests covered in snow.
Winter Activities
To spend your winter holidays in Rasun di Sopra is a delight, though the apres ski is limited. Many people, especially cross-country skiers, admire its location also known as Oberrasen. It offers a total of 104 km of slopes with training ski run of 0.8 km long mainly geared towards beginner skiers and 60 km of tracks for cross-country skiers. There is also a cross-country skiing school where interested tourists can be taught this wonderful winter sport. The snow record here is good and the pistes are well-maintained. It is served by 31 lifts. Anterselva is also just a short distance from the Plan de Corones skiing carousel. You can carve on the silky smooth slopes of Plan de Corones, go snowboarding or just listen to the noise of ski boots. The Riepenlift skilift in Anterselva di Mezzo is also not far away. It's a place which is ideal for families and children to visit.
Summer Activities
During the summer, the place offers a large variety of activities. Since the Anterselva valley is characterized by beautiful and unspoilt landscape, it is perfect for people in search of peace and relaxation to engage in nature walks, excursions, and hikes. Others can go mountain biking, horseback riding or paragliding. At the end of the Anterselva Valley is the Anterselva Lake, where visitors can enjoy a nice stroll around the beautiful lake or go rafting. If you want to explore the cultural heritage of this destination, you can visit the "Ciastel de Tor" Museum in San Martino di Badia, the Museo Ladino Provinciale, the Museum of Tradition in Teodone "Museo degli Usi e Costumi", the Civic museum in Bruneck, and the Mineral Museum.
