Pera di Fassa introduction
Pera di Fassa is situated in the lovely Fassa Valley at an altitude of 1326 m in the Trentino Alto adige region, Northern Italy. It is only minutes away from the major resorts in the valley: Campitello di Fassa, Pozza di Fassa, Vigo di Fassa, Canazei and Moena. The name of the village derives from the Latin word “petra”, which means stone, and it is very probable that it has reference to the great rock found next to a nearby hotel. The place lies along the banks of the river Avisio, and has an excellent position for all people who love winter sports and excursions. Skiers have easy access by a ski lift to the ski area Campedie with excellent views of the valley. All the other skiing stations along the ski area Val of Fassa –Carezza can be reached for a short time. The place offers mountain climbing and mountain bike.
