Marilleva 900 introduction
Marilleva 900 is a beautiful Italian ski resort situated in the Val di Sole, down the valley along the banks of the river Noce where the Canoeing World Championships were held. It is 70 km from the city of Trento, Northern Italy and 49 km away from the famous ski resort Madonna di Campiglio. Marilleva is built into two levels: Marilleva 1400 from where all the lifts for Folgardia and Madonna di Campiglio run, and Marilleva 900, which is accomodated at the bottom of the Val di Sole near the town of Mezzana. The connection between the two resorts is possible thanks to a 12-persons highspeed gondola. Marilleva 900 is a perfect destination both for the ski lovers and the tourists and is located in the Stelvio National Park with a marvellous view to the surrounding Ortles-Cevedale and Adamello-Pressanella mountain ranges with fast links to Val di Rabbi, Val di Pejo and Madonna di Campiglio.
Marilleva 900 is a true paradise for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The lifts and the connection of slopes provide a ski area of 120 km of slopes and 47 high-speed lifts. Snow in this area is abundant thanks to the proximity of the Ortles Cevedale Group. Wonderful skiing experience is guaranteed by the modern ski facilities, meeting the needs of beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers, and snowboarders. Snowmaking machines cover 90 percent of the skiing area, providing snow from November to the end of the season. The slopes are well maintained with the daily operation of a number of grooming machines. Pistes vary in terms of difficulty and challenge. From Marilleva 900 one can easily get to the Nordic Skiing track in Commezzadura. The near sporing centre of Mezzana offers two outdoor tennis courts, a handball, three bowls and a five-side football pitch and an ice stadium. The valley is a nice place for ski-mountaineering, as well.
Marilleva 900 provides a variety of accomodation from small and large hotels and residences to timesharing apartments with an ability to provide for the needs of 10 000 guests. The resort is a home of large complexes such as the Valtur village, providing numerous services and direct access to the slopes. Facilities include meeting and congress rooms, covered parking, ski and snowboard renting, a swimming pool and fitness centers. Marilleva 900 offers shops, restaurants, bars and discos.
