Brunico, set in the center of the Dolomites, is the transport hub of the Puster Valley. The major part of the ski area is at the Kronplatz, which is considered to be the highest-class in South Tyrol. The resort itself is well lift-linked and boasts excellent slope grooming. Most of the slopes are suited to beginners, which makes the destination ideal for families. Expert skiers could also find more challenging pistes. At Brunico, cross-country is also an option, in addition to skiing and snowboarding. The après ski scene is lively, and there is an ice scating rink in the town center. In summer, the place offers a variety of recreation activities and hiking.
