At an altitude of 1450m, the village of Campitello di Fassa is dominated by the imposing structure of the Sassolungo and the Col Rodella mountains. Due to its strategic position, the village has been widely referred to as an alpinist center. Next to the Campitello cableway, there is an excellently equipped sports center, offering a permanent climbing structure, a basketball and soccer playground, a hockey rink, a tennis court and even a golf-course facility. During the winter, the resort offers a vast variety of skiing opportunities. The area is well equipped with modern ski-lifts and there is a good snow covering system, which guarantees a satisfactory skiing experience from the very beginning of the season. In summer, Campitello di Fassa is mainly a starting point for hikes.
