Canazei, or Canazei di Fassa, is located on the Sella Ronda circuit, and offers some 175km of pistes to cover. Most of the pistes are good for intermediates and the entire domain is largely accessible due to the improved lifts. However, all the slopes rely on a single lift from the village. Despite the fact that the only run back down can sometimes be closed because of the lack of snow, Canazei remains a popular resort. It is spread out, but retains its traditional attractiveness. The adjoining village offers reasonable accommodation, including hotels as well as chalets, and there is a decent selection of clubs, restaurants and bars. A smaller Italian resort, it has little foreign language speaking staff and the ski schools are no exception.
