The resort of Klausen, also known as Chiusa, is set at the river Eisack/Isarco in the center of the Dolomites’ valley Eisacktal/Valle Isarco in South Tyrol. During the summer, Klausen/Chiusa offers numerous walks and nature paths. Several hotels offer guided tramping. The resort’s central location enables direct access to all major spots in the vicinity, and accommodation varies from private stays to pensions and top end hotels. During the winter, the ski resorts at Val Gardena, Plose, and the alpine pasture Alpe di Siusi are easily reachable. The region offers possibilities for night skiing, and a decent après ski scene. Klausen also houses a snowboard school.
