Set in the gorgeous Val di Sole in the sweet smelling pinewood forests and surrounded by the magnificient mountain ranges the Brenta Dolomites, Ortles Cevedale, Presanella and the Maddalene, Folgarida is a quiet and modern Italian ski resort. It is only 9 km away from the large resort Madonna di Campiglio. It is an ideal destination for those who love winter sports and would like to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful vacation with friends and family in the mountains. It has an impressive ski area covering approximately 120 km of wonderful slopes and runs. Those wishing to experience Italian history and traditions may enjoy a visit to the mountain villages of Dimaro, Commezzadura and Male and other villages in Val di Sole and Val di Rabbe. Through the free bus service NeveBus or the frequent bus services offered by hotels the slopes of Folgarida can be reached for 5-15 minutes from these villages.

Folgarida is a great place to start for beginners. The ski school is at the mid-station with easy to manage gondolas that reach to it. Out of the way of the main area there is nice wooded horseshoe. The resort is famous for its soft and panoramic blue runs giving the opportunity to beginners to get the grearest experience from the lift pass. Intermediate skiers will find Folgarida a nice place with a variety of sheltered tree runs, large mileage and moderate bumps. Advanced skiers may enjoy the bumps under the trees, countless off-piste areas and a great number of connections with other skiing runs and resorts. There is a choice of ski passes for every level. Snowboarders will find the place an interesting challenge. The resort has wonderful connections with the neighbouring Marilleva and Madonna di Campigio and thus skiers can move around in a beautiful ski area of 120 km with 47 high speed lifts.

Folgarida accomodations and hotels are situated at the altitude of 1300 meters in the thick pine forest right next to the main road connecting Val di Sole with the resort Madonna di Campiglio. There are 25 small and large hotels besides the residences and timeshare apartments offering about 8500 beds. Folgarida provides all the essential facilities and services: ski and snowboard renting, ski school and mountain warming areas, a covered parking, restaurants and shops. The splendid Ice Stadium offers skating and broomball matches. The Congress Centre hosts modern movies, exhibition, organized meetings, sporting and cultural events.
