Marilleva 1400 introduction
Marilleva 1400 is the higher side of the Marilleva ski resort, situated at an altitude of 1400 m in the beautiful Val di Sole in the Brenta Dolomites, Northern Italy, 250 km from Milan and 70 km from Trento. The nearest airport is Verona, 170 km away from the resort. Marilleva 1400 is the hotel and residential area with an access to the cableway from where many lifts lead to Madonna di Campiglio and Folgardia. Those who have interest in local history and traditions may visit the neighbouring villages of Ossana, Pellizzano and Mezzana.
A dynamic ski resort, Marilleva 1400, just as Madonna di Campiglio, is linked to Folgardia through a common lift system, and together with other neighbouring ski resorts they create SKIRAMA offering a total of 260 km slopes and 103 lifts. Marilleva 1400 is designed to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. There is a number of snow-making machines, which provide the snow cover from early November to the end of the skiing season. The ski lifts are in close proximity to the pistes, which guarantees a wonderful experience. There are 14 chair lifts, 4 cable cabins, 5 drag lifts, a ski school meeting the needs of beginners, a children’s ski school. The cross-country ski trail is a challenge for advanced skiers. There is also a toboggan run and an ice rink, for those who love traditional winter sports. Marilleva 1400 has become a gathering place for snowboarders because the Halfpipe Snowboard World Championship was held in the resort in 1999.
Marilleva 1400 provides a variety of accomodation: small and large hotels and residences and apartment rentals with more than 10 000 beds, all functionally desgined. Marilleva is also a recognized place for meetings and congresses, it hosts the International Cardiology Congress. With the free ski-bus services and the service of transport to the hotels, it becomes possible to get to the slopes and lifts for a short period of time. There is a choice of recreation and sport facilities: skating, tennis, indoor swimming pools. Medical services are available as well. Leisure time is guaranteed to the best of quality with discos, bars, restaurants, pizzerias and shops. In summer the pine forest srrounding Marilleva 1400 is a place for walks and trekking with breathtaking panoramic views of the alpine lakes and the forests and meadows.
