The municipality of Valdaora is set at the foot of Plan de Corones, facing the Anterselva valley, the area being dominated by the Braies Dolomites and the Vedrette di Ries. Valdaora is a well-equipped winter sports resort, part of the ski area Plan de Corones. There is a free skibus shuttle, operating at 20 min. intervals between the municipality’s four districts, as well as a cable car. The ski paths are well tended and the place has some cross-country slopes to offer. During the summer, the terrain allows various hiking and mountain trekking possibilities, with excellent views on the countryside. Recreation activities should also be taken into consideration.
