Once a lead, silver and copper sorting station, the village of Villandro is a quiet unspoilt resort. Located at an altitude varying from 491 m at the valley bottom to 2509 m at the peaks, the place offers excellent countryside views. During the winter, skiers can find fast downhill slopes or cross-country tracks reaching up to the Como di Renon. Off the slopes, the place offers snow shoe hikes, sledging, and ski hiking. The place is accessible via Gardena, Plose, Valles/Jochtal and Plan de Corones, which are all linked to the Dolomiti superski carousel. During the summer, the vicinity allows plenty of excursions and hiking options.
