Falcade-Caviola, at more than 2000 m, belongs to the smaller ski resorts in Italy and has direct access to some 80 km of downhill piste, along with 20 individual pistes catered by 10 ski lifts. Due to the high altitudes, snow is reliable, and snow making machines are available for 14.5 km. The resort is geared towards beginners, and has something to offer to the intermediates. The lowest piste is at 1300 m, and the maximum vertical stands at 1130. The ski resort also offers around 27 km of cross country. Its proximity to the airport makes it an ideal spot for snowboard breaks and ski weekends.
