The Malga Ciapela basin is set at the foot of the massive Marmolada peak, the Dolomites highest mountain, often referred to as the Queen of Dolomites. The resort is located on the Sella Ronda circuit and is also linked to Arabba. The runs are basically suited for intermediates or beginners, while the experts are advised to explore the place for off-piste routes or head to Arabba. The Marmolada glacier, an expert heaven, is directly accessible from the resort. Snowboarders can find some good runs, and the terrain favours beginners and intermediates. There are limited après ski possibilities, and non-ski activities are not popular in the resort. Malga Ciapela is geared towards families and beginners.
