Rocca Pietore, enclosed by steep Dolomites slopes, is the central village of the Pettorina River valley. Serrai di Sottoguda Nature Park lies in the vicinity and there is a view to the peaks of Marmolade and the Serrai di Sottogude Glacier Canyon. The palce is connected to the Dolomites Superski Ski Region and the Sella Massif via ski lifts. The slopes boast a good snow cover from late autumn till spring. The cross country ski trail totals 15 km. Apart from the basic winter sports, the visitors are offered horse or a horse drawn sleigh rides. During the summer, the place is suitable for hiking, alpinism and mountain bike.
